  Outreach

WBO’s community outreach has included relationships with Family Crisis Center of Prince George’s County, Shepherd’s Cove of Capitol Heights and Katrina Kids Holiday giving.  We have most recently partnered with Break the Cycle.  At the WBO/IKEA Business and Wellness Conference, we announced a strategic partnership with Breakthe Cycle, an organization that engages, educates and empowers youth to build lives and communities free from domestic and dating violence. WBO kicked off efforts to raise money to support the distribution of Breakthethe county—ensuring teens in Prince George’s County have theBreak the Cycle] represent fulfillment of theThe Cycle’s DV101 to high schools throughout information and tools they need to live free from violence.  At the WBO/IKEA event, WBO President, Dawn P. Jackson said, “These two very important partnerships [IKEA and WBO is committed to fulfilling our mission of educating, supporting and empowering women business owners to impact our communities through our collective strengths.” needs of both our business community as well as our communities overall.
